The Santa Claus cookies that took the minds of Americans deep into the gutter over the weekend appear to have become a top seller, with more than two-dozen Target stores in Minnesota sold out of the controversial treat.
The cookies stirred up quite the story over the weekend as Santa's boots, which for some people resemble a penis, went viral enough across the country that Target actually issued a statement saying people aren't complaining.
“We have not received any feedback directly on this item,” a Target spokesperson said in a statement provided to the New York Post. “The design is intended to represent Santa’s boots. We appreciate the feedback and will take it into consideration moving forward.”
Not all 73 Target stores in Minnesota carry these cookies. There appear to be 50 stores that have or had them, and these are the 26 where they are out of stock.

- Bemidji
- Bloomington (79th and Penn)

Rochester? They're going fast. The main store in Rochester has "limited stock" while the Rochester South Target only has 8 left!
There's only one left at the Minnetonka Target (as of 1:30 p.m.).
And while you can cross the border to Wisconsin for a cold beer at a bar, you definitely won't have any luck driving over the river and finding Santa's boots at the Target in Hudson. Sold out!
Mankato is sold out and anyone who lives there can't find the cookies in-person anywhere within 50 miles. Same goes for Duluth. People in St. Cloud can't get them in town, but they can find them 28-40 miles away in towns like Monticello, Otsego and Rogers.
If you're reading this from Grand Forks, your Target still has them. Thank God.
If you're in the Twin Cities, you can find Santa's boots in your pantry by purchasing them at these Targets, where they are apparently still available:
- Apple Valley
- Apple Valley South
- Blaine
- Burnsville
- Champlin
- Edina
- Fridley
- Knollwood
- Lakeville
- Lino Lakes
- Maple Grove North
- Nicollet Mall
- Plymouth
- Richfield
- Shoreview
- West St. Paul
- Woodbury
- Woodbury East
Bring Me The News reached out to Target for comment about the cookies becoming super popular. The response: "We don’t have anything to share other than the statement that you have likely already seen."
