The Different Ways You Can Buy Girl Scout Cookies During the Pandemic - CBS Denver

cookies.indah.link

DENVER (CBS4) – If you’ve been craving Samoas, Thin Mints or Tagalongs, your wait is finally over. You can order cookies from your local Girl Scouts starting Sunday.

More than 77,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies were picked up in the parking lot at Eliches Gardens on Saturday. One of the group of troops picking the cookies were three Reynolds sisters, Abbie, Genevieve, and Sophie. The youngest sister, Genevieve, loves the opportunity to sell the cookies at a home near you.

“It’s really fun because you can spend time with each other, and you are able to sale yummy girl scout cookies,” she said.

The sisters will have a lot of cookies to sell to meet their sales goal.

“My goal this year is 1,000 boxes, but we’ll see what happens,” Abbie said.

The sisters will have to be creative to reach their goals and stay safe during the pandemic. One way the scouts plan to do this is by using porch drop offs.

“We have digital cookie links where our friends and neighbors can order online, and then we can just drop off the cookies on their porch. Then that way it’s safe and contactless,” Sophie, the 16-year-old volunteer said.

Another option is virtual and drive-through cookie booths.

“The Girl Scouts will be posting where they are going to have their booth. People can drive-through, and they will say their order. Girls will then go grab the cookies and then go give it to them, and that way it will be a destination for all people to go and buy cookies. So, it’s easier for people to find them,” Sophie said.

All this is done to pass a little joy one cookie at the time.

“Cookies are delicious and honestly I feel like it honestly brings everyone a smile even without a pandemic. So, this warm gesture that we’re able to sale cookies is just a wonderful thing.”

If you want to purchase yourself one of these boxes of cookies, you can do so online. The online sales start on Feb. 1 and they last all the way until March 7.

Crumbl Cookies: Satisfy your sweet tooth at Hillsboro's newest dessert shop - The Vanderbilt Hustler

Open until midnight on weekends and with new flavors every week, this cookie place is sure to keep you coming back.

Julia Tilton, Staff Writer

Crumbl, a Utah-based cookie chain with a rotating weekly menu of delectable cookie flavors, opened its newest location Dec. 17 just steps from Vanderbilt’s campus in Hillsboro village.

Eager to learn more about the business, I paid a visit (along with some fellow Hustler staffers) to its charming pink and white storefront located just next to Pancake Pantry.

Crumbl has a baby pink interior that matches their cookie box packaging (Hustler Multimedia/Hunter Long) (Hunter Long)

We stepped inside the store and found ourselves greeted by the aroma of freshly-baked cookies and a modern kitchen aesthetic. The bakery occupies most of the storefront, and with the current COVID-19 safety policies in place, there are no places to sit down. With that being said, Crumbl’s staff are happy to carefully pack warm cookies in their signature pink boxes for curbside pick-up, or to deliver to your door.

The business also hopes to attract repeat customers by introducing new and distinct flavors to their menu each week. While two fan-favorite flavors will always be available—the warmed chocolate chip cookie and chilled sugar cookie—four specialty flavors are introduced each week. Per manager Kelsey Maiorano, the new flavors are revealed every Sunday on Instagram and Facebook.

“It keeps you coming back, because every week we have new flavors to try,” Maiorano said. “And they’re really creative—it’s fun to have something different in the store.”

In addition to cookies, Crumbl delivers high-quality ice cream pints (Hustler Multimedia/Hunter Long) (Hunter Long)

When we visited, we tried the two classic flavors and the week’s specialty flavors. These included the warm-and-gooey oatmeal chocolate chip, cornbread and buckeye brownie cookie.

We know what you’re thinking: cornbread? Believe it or not, the cornbread cookie was surprisingly super pleasant with drizzled honey over a sweet, almost corn muffin-like cookie. With that being said, the dark chocolate flavor of the buckeye with that salty peanut butter twist was difficult to beat.

The classic chocolate chip was also a hit, but there was something missing…milk! Luckily for us, we had the chilled cookies and cream milkshake flavor to offset the depth of chocolate.

Although Crumbl is new to Hillsboro, having just opened, it is not new to the Nashville area. There are other locations nearby in Murfreesboro, Franklin, Brentwood, Mt. Juliet and Chattanooga. Each location is owned separately within the area.

Crumbl’s open interior is currently not allowing indoor dining, however their cookies and ice cream are all available for delivery via their website (Hustler Multimedia/Hunter Long)

“My owner sees the potential of this area, which is great, because it is a good location with the hospital and college campuses right around here,”Maiorano said.

Opening during a pandemic certainly presented its own challenges, but Maiorano said that the business has succeeded thus far because they have been able to adapt to the safety measures in place.

“We opened the store knowing what needed to take place—we’ve seen a lot of deliveries and curbside pickup, which is nice since we can easily do both of those things to accommodate for COVID,” Maiorano said.

The next time you are craving a sweet late-night snack, be sure to check out this new dessert locale for their unique flavors and delicious offerings.

Hokkaido's popular White Lover cookies turned into sweet drinks and ice cream sandwiches - Japan Today

cookies.indah.link

With it's multiple Pokemon collaborations and golden KitKat creations, Tokyo Banana is the go-to souvenir sweets to bring home, but when one travels the northern island of Hokkaido, Shiroi Koibito reigns supreme. The popular Hokkaido sweet's name translate to "White Lover", consists of langue-de-chat style sandwich cookies filled with white chocolate, symbolizing the region's famous snow.

Those seeking out the prized Hokkaido treats will have two all new forms to try them out in: a white chocolate drink and ice cream sandwich based on Shiroi Koibito.

Shiroi Koibito White Chocolate Drink is pretty much what its name says, a rich and sweet beverage that recaptures the white chocolate filling of the cookies, with a hint of the langue-de-chat biscuits in the drink as well. The Shiroi Koibito Sandwich Ice is an ice cream sandwich that takes two large butter cookies and uses them to sandwich white chocolate ice cream and langue-de-chat bits.

The beverage will be available all throughout Japanese starting Feb 2, while the ice cream sandwich will a convenience store exclusive starting Feb 1, and then available throughout Japan starting March 1.

Girl Scouts think outside the box to deliver cookies to their fans - Huntsville Item

Cookie Season nears

Michelle Wulfson | The ItemClaire Haverstick, Camilla Gates, Jalynn Merrell, Jessa Merrell and Sophia Moreno are preparing for this year’s cookie season, kicking off on Feb. 6. This year’s sales will be more oriented towards virtual marketing and purchasing, and will introduce a new cookie flavor.

As this year’s Girl Scouts cookie season approaches, troop leaders are eager to make up for disappointing losses sustained from the onset of the pandemic, as they guide their girls through a new horizon.

“Last year, we were going so strong until COVID hit,” community leader Jamie Arlt said. “We were set for a record year, then we really took a loss with cookie sales.”

In March, 32,000 cases of cookies that had just been sent out to troops in the San Jacinto Council to finish out their season quickly began to stack up when sales ended abruptly at the start of the pandemic. Girl Scouts USA quickly launched an online sales platform, extending the sale season in an effort to salvage what sales they could to continue funding the program. It’s a new initiative that has been heavily requested to keep up with the times, and now, it could very well be the future of cookie sales, according to Arlt.

Gearing up for a new season, big changes are in store for the 2021 Girl Scouts cookie sales, including a new revamped Digital Cookie platform, the exit of a cookie favorite and the introduction of a new hit flavor.

While S’mores will be making its last rounds in the market this year, new cookie flavor, “Toast-Yeah” will be making its debut.

“It’s a French toast inspired cookie, so it looks like they shaped it in a piece of toast, it has a maple glaze on the back of it and it almost tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, it’s really good,” Arlt said.

Toast-Yeah and all of the tried-and-true cookie options can be purchased over their newly developed virtual sale structures, expanding each scout’s reach beyond neighborhood booths and door-to-door sales, to anywhere across the nation.

“I’m optimistic (about the upcoming season), I think it gives the girls a different avenue. I think that the new virtual links for us are definitely going to help the cookie sale this year where we didn’t have this in place when COVID hit last year,” Arlt said.

Cookie Season nears

Michelle Wulfson | The ItemClaire Haverstick, Camilla Gates, Jalynn Merrell, Jessa Merrell and Sophia Moreno pose in front of the Girl Scouts lodge with boxes of cookies. The Girl Scouts cookie season officially kicks off Feb. 6 and will include new socially-distant purchasing options while still supporting local scouts.

The scouts began taking digital sales orders on Jan. 23 that will be fulfilled at the official start of the season on Feb. 6 through personalized social media links that the scout and her guardian can post on their online platforms or share over email. The link will redirect shoppers to the scout’s online store, where customers can order their cookies and submit their payment. Local shoppers can then opt for the scout to porch-drop their cookies for a contactless delivery, or they can be shipped.

“That’s a really good way for girls to participate that don’t want to have contact, if they want to keep their contact level down, this digital platform’s the best way to go,” Arlt said.

Customers can also use the link to donate to Cookies4Heroes, a program that enables cookie buyers to purchase boxes of cookies to be donated to local first responders, organizations that support the military, healthcare professionals and COVID-19 frontline workers.

For the less tech-savvy, Cookies4Heroes can also be purchased at booth sales around town that will kick off on Feb. 12, but under different circumstances than usual.

Typically capitalizing off of crowds of weekend shoppers at Kroger, H-E-B and Walmart, this year’s booth sales are currently scheduled to be held at Brookshire Brothers in Huntsville and Trinity, Autozone, Arnaud’s Food Park and Prosperity Bank.

“The girls are thinking of ways that we can work past not being able to be out in front of those major retailers,” Arlt said, although she adds that the cookies really sell themselves.

Virtual cookie booths will also be new for this season to offer a socially distant pick up option. A troop’s virtual cookie booth will be posted online for a week, taking orders Monday through Friday through a posted link on their social media that can be shared. On Saturday, those who purchased can head to a drive-thru style pick up at a designated location.

“That just really helps keep the contact level down and it still keeps the girls involved, because that’s what the cookie sales are all about. It’s the girls’ businesses and we really want to empower them to learn the skills of how to run their own business,” Arlt said.

The Digital Cookie platform and app offers scouts even more tools focused on teaching marketing, budgeting, resource allocation and other critical business skills to reach their highest potential. The girls can also set their cookie goals on the platform, track their progress, manage orders and inventory, learn internet safety skills and more.

Arlt adds that the experience has also given the girls a chance to learn how to conduct a business online, as well as how to adjust their business plans and thinking farther ahead when setting goals for the future.

Cookie sales are essential to fund the Girl Scouts councils, service centers in the area, all 10 camp properties in the San Jacinto Council. To find a troop or booth location to support local Girl Scouts in Walker County, visit www.gssjc.org.

Order Girl Scout cookies on GrubHub starting Monday - WJXT News4JAX

cookies.indah.link

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage, Girl Scouts are hoping to bring you a smile and a tasty treat with their annual cookie season.

But like so many businesses, the Girl Scouts are adjusting their business model to fit the needs of people in the community during the pandemic.

They’ve come up with several ways to safely distribute cookies with limited to no contact.

One way is by turning to GrubHub.

Starting Monday, you can order Thin Mints, Samoas, Tag-A-Longs and more through the food delivery app.

“Girls will have the backend of this e-business this e-commerce business, and they will track their sales locally. They will prepare the sales and fulfill the orders and then GrubHub jumps in and picks it up and delivers it right to your home,” explained Mary Anne Jacobs, CEO of Gateway Council.

This year you’ll also find drive-thru cookie booths, virtual cookie booths and, of course, booths outside your local store with new safety protocols.

Another contactless option will be door hangers left on your front door with a QR code.

“You can actually scan the code, go to our website, choose your ZIP code, choose your favorite troop and have that troop either deliver the cookies to you or have them shipped,” Jacobs said.

Girl Scouts of Gateway Council Press Release:

“New this season, Girl Scouts of Gateway Council is participating in a national collaboration with food ordering and delivery platform Grubhub so girls have an additional way to facilitate contact-free cookie orders. Across the council’s territory, cookie fans can order Girl Scout Cookies for pickup or delivery on Grubhub.com or the Grubhub app. A hands-on experience in managing e-commerce, local Girl Scouts will track and fulfill orders, manage inventory, and more, all using Grubhub’s back-end technology. This method will be available in many areas across North Florida, from February 1-March 7. As always, the proceeds benefit the troop and council while providing another innovative way to safely run the cookie program virtually. GSUSA is grateful to Grubhub for waiving all fees for the organization to make this new delivery option feasible for sales without reducing troops’ and councils’ proceeds.”

You can also visit Girlscout.org and go to the cookie finder, type in your area code and it will show you local cookie booths in your area and the date they are happening.

Easy air fryer chocolate chip cookie recipe - ABC News

cookies.indah.link

Brandi Crawford shared the recipe with "GMA."

Air fryers are the hot new trendy kitchen appliance and recipe developers, bloggers and home cooks alike are getting more inventive with their cooking.

Her recipe takes less than 15 minutes to make from start to finish and Crawford said people have been shocked to learn that you can bake cookies in the small appliance. Plus, you don't have to make a full batch.

Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

8 tablespoons butter softened (1 stick)

1/3 cup granulated sugar or sweetener

1/3 cup packed light brown sugar or sweetener

1 large egg, must be at room temperature

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 cup flour

1/4 cup rolled oats

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips. Crawford used monkfruit sweetened semi-sweet

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Optional sea salt for sprinkling

Directions

Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in a mixing bowl using a stand or hand mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes.

Add egg, vanilla and lemon juice. Use the mixer and blend on low for 30 seconds. Then blend on medium for a couple of minutes or until light and fluffy.

With mixer on low speed, add flour, oats, baking soda, salt and cinnamon, blending for about 45 seconds. Don’t over mix.

Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Line the air fryer basket with air fryer parchment paper. Scoop the cookie dough into balls (about 2 tablespoons) and place them in the basket about 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. Use wet hands and flatten the top of the cookies. The batter is really sticky. Wet hands work well.

Air fry for 6-8 minutes on 300 degrees.

Remove the air fryer basket and allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes before removing them from the basket. If you handle them too soon they will not firm up and will crumble.

Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool for an additional 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with sea salt if you wish.

Girl Scout Cookies sales begin Feb. 12. This year there is a new variety, named Toast-Yay!

OMAHA — The world may look different today, but a pandemic won’t stop the more than 100-year-old tradition of Girl Scouts selling cookies.

Girls will put their entrepreneurial skills to work by creating safe ways to provide cookie lovers with tasty treats.

Cookie sales begin Feb. 12 across Nebraska, featuring a new variety: the Toast-Yay! cookie. Playing off the popularity of breakfast comfort foods, the Toast-Yay! is a French toast–inspired cookie dipped in icing.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls to run a business as they learn life skills such as goal-setting, decision-making, money management, people skills and business ethics. This year, girls will tap into their ingenuity to offer easy, safe and touchless transactions while the country continues to adapt to the pandemic.

Cookie booths open statewide on Feb. 19, and will include innovative virtual booths, drive-through locations, curbside pickup options and online orders that ship directly to customers’ doors. Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska will subsidize shipping costs for those who order more than six packages of direct-ship cookies. Depending on local health directives, in-person sales also may be available.

When customers purchase cookies, they make an important investment in their communities and Nebraska girls. All proceeds stay in the state to benefit the Spirit of Nebraska Council and its members. Girls use their funds for leadership experiences, travel, camping and to create positive change in their communities.

This year’s cookie lineup includes Toast-Yay!, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades, Girl Scout S’mores and Shortbread, which remain priced at $4 per package. Gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies are $5 per package.

Girl Scout S’mores will be retired after the 2021 cookie season, which ends March 21.

Girl Scouts add online, contactless options for ordering cookies - Bryan-College Station Eagle

cookies.indah.link

Girl Scouts cookie sales are underway, and the coronavirus pandemic means there are more contactless and virtual ways to order.

People can get Girl Scout cookies through the food delivery apps Favor and Grubhub, which operate with a contactless delivery system.

Cookie sales on the food delivery services will be offered on weekends only. Grubhub has specific hours set from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a press release.

Local Girl Scouts are fulfilling the orders, but a Favor or Grubhub driver will deliver the cookies.

“They’re booths that you don’t really see,” said Ginny Ford, communications engagement lead for Girl Scouts of Central Texas. Local troops take two-hour segments fulfilling Favor and Grubhub orders while they are offered on each app.

Just like a traditional booth, she said, the members fulfilling Favor and Grubhub orders will be able to keep 100% of the money brought in from their cookie sales. People ordering cookies through either company might have to pay an additional charge, but there are no fees imposed on the Girl Scouts fulfilling the orders.

Traditional cookie booths and door-to-door sales are continuing with safety protocols in place, such as wearing masks and social distancing when possible, Ford said. People can find booth locations by entering their ZIP code on the Girl Scouts of Central Texas website.

Additionally, some troop members have door hangers they can distribute to allow for contactless door-to-door sales, and the local council’s website has a form where people can request a local Girl Scout to contact them with information about purchasing cookies.

Other members are turning to social media to sell to their friends and set up virtual booths.

Rather than thinking if cookie sales could take place, Ford said, it was a question of how they could do it while maintaining the safety of the Girl Scouts, volunteers and the general community.

“The Girl Scout cookie program is absolutely massive,” she said. “The girls love it; the community loves it. It is how many of our girls fund their way through Girl Scouts, so it is an incredibly important aspect of the Girl Scout leadership program, and we wanted the girls to be able to sell cookies.”

Just as businesses are trying to figure out how to deliver their products and services safely, local Girl Scout members have to do the same, Ford said.

“Our girls have absolutely learned how to think outside the box,” she said. “They have been presented, just like the rest of the community has, with a huge challenge.”

They, like others in the community, have had to adjust how they live, work and learn and have developed a resiliency, she said. Rather than asking what they cannot do, she said, the Girl Scouts of Central Texas council has started asking what they can do and how they can do it.

“Our girls have stepped up. They’ve just really stepped up, and they’re taking it and running with it,” she said.

All of the money collected through cookie sales stay in the local troop.

Looking ahead, Ford said, she expects many of the new sales tactics and online programming to continue beyond the coronavirus pandemic.

Cookie sales began Jan. 20 and will continue through Feb. 28. For more information about cookie sales, booth locations or to request cookies, go to gsctx.org/cookies.

Lion Cub's Cookies planning first storefront in Grandview Heights - ThisWeek Community News

Alan Froman   | ThisWeek group

When Bradley Kaplan visited his mother for the holidays in 2018, he decided to bring some treats with him.

Kaplan had loved to cook since childhood but had never tried baking cookies.

The batch he prepared for the trip home really hit the spot, he said.

"I really like pumpkin pie and pumpkin cake, so I looked for an easy pumpkin cookie recipe that I could do in the kitchen at my house," Kaplan said. "I really enjoyed eating them during my visit. My family really didn't eat many of them. I had kind of made them for myself."

He was hooked.

Baking cookies quickly became a hobby Kaplan would fit in whenever his schedule allowed.

"I really loved trying out new recipes for cookies and seeing what worked and what didn't," he said. "Gradually, the cookies were getting better, and I was enjoying eating them even more."

He worked as an engineer, but Kaplan said he always was interested in creating a food-related business.

With his cookies, he said, he knew he had the ingredients for a business.

Lion Cub's Cookies began as a delivery-only business in June 2020.

"Opening a business during the pandemic was a challenge, but it was easier for us because we were a delivery business," Kaplan said.

Kaplan is planning to open his first storefront later this spring at 1261 Grandview Avenue in Grandview Heights. The storefront was the former location of Peabody Papers.

He currently operates the business out of the Food Fort business incubator at 737 Parkwood Ave. in Columbus.

"It's a great place to start and incubate a business," Kaplan said. "What I needed was a location where we could take Lion Cub's Cookies to the next level."

The delivery business will continue, and Kaplan said he and his team would bake the cookies at the Grandview Avenue location.

People will be able to walk in and purchase cookies to go or to enjoy them at a small seating area.

The biggest percentage of Lion Cub's deliveries are made to customers in the Grandview, Upper Arlington and Short North areas, said Kaplan, who lives in Columbus' Victorian Village-Harrison West neighborhood.

"That makes Grandview a good location for the store, but there's a big parking lot behind the building and along Grandview Avenue, and that's good for a delivery business," he said.

Lion Cub's Cookies also will be a complement to some of Grandview Avenue's other businesses, Kaplan said.

"People who are stopping by Stauf's Coffee may want to grab a cookie to enjoy with their beverage. And the Jeni's (Spendid Ice Creams), well cookies and ice cream really go well together," he said.

Cub Shrub, a children's clothing store, is right next door to the future Lion Cub's site at 1273 Grandview Ave.

"Kids and cookies go well together," said Niki Quinn, who owns Cub Shrub with her husband, Josh. "We love the idea of families being able to pop in next door and grab a cookie after stopping in at Cub Shrub. Possibly even as a reward for little shoppers' good behavior."

The two businesses have similar names but are not connected, Kaplan said.

"Lion Cub's" refers to a childhood nickname his father gave him, he said.

"He'd rustle my hair and call me his little lion cub," Kaplan said. "I had a lot of energy and a big mane of hair he thought looked like a lion."

Some of his childhood energy was expended in the kitchen at his family's home on the west side of Cleveland.

He always liked the experience of eating something he had prepared himself, Kaplan said.

"The kitchen's a little bit like a laboratory," he said.

It's fun to try out different ideas with dishes and find out whether the results are tasty.

"You really learn a lot quickly when you're cooking," Kaplan said. "You find out fast what works and what doesn't."

His cooking prowess continued in college at Ohio State University.

"I was a pretty typical guy. It was a lot of steak-and-potatoes type of things," Kaplan said. "Smokers in the backyard. I really enjoy grilling out."

But Kaplan, 30, didn't try baking until he was heading home for the holidays.

The cookies he baked for his holiday trip, as well as those Lion Cub's deliveries to customers, are big and thick.

Although he won't divulge his recipe secrets, Kaplan said, the key is that his cookies are crunchy on the outside with a gooey center.

"By delivering them while they're still hot, you get all of that gooey goodness," he said.

He and his pastry chef have developed about 50 cookie recipes, but only five varieties are offered each week.

"We always offer chocolate chip and cookies 'n cream, and we offer a different chocolate-based cookie each week," Kaplan said.

The menu is rounded out with two featured cookies. The rotation of featured cookies includes carrot cake, PB&J, apple pie, maple bacon and, of course, pumpkin roll.

New cookies are being added to the menu all the time, Kaplan said, and he expects to have about 100 items on the list by the end of this year.

Lion Cub's delivers throughout central Ohio, but the order date and delivery times vary.

Cookies are delivered from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays to Hilliard and Dublin and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays to Easton, Gahanna, New Albany, Westerville and Worthington. Deliveries to Columbus (downtown, the Short North, Grandview, German Village, Olde Towne East, the Ohio State campus, Franklinton, Bexley, the near east side and portions of Upper Arlington and Clintonville) are made during limited hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

"That helps ensure the cookies will be hot and gooey when you get them," he said.

The cookies that walk-in customers will enjoy also will be hot out of the oven, Kaplan said.

Kaplan said he expects to open the new storefront in the spring, but the date is still to be determined.

More information about Lion Cub's, its cookies and how to order is available at lioncubscookies.com.

Best Eats This Week: Homemade cookies, chicken tortilla soup and miso noodles with veggies - KGET 17

cookies.indah.link

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 17 News staff was busy preparing meals this week. Maybe it’s the colder weather that gets people into the cooking spirit, maybe it’s saving money, but whatever the reason, we’re happy to share the best eats of the week.

Snickerdoodles, chicken tortilla soup, Maddie Janssen, anchor

“Gluten, dairy and refined-sugar free snickerdoodles from my Sweet Laurel cookbook,” Janssen wrote of this healthy entry. “To die for!! Seriously, I could only make these cookies from now on and be happy… (Sorry, Grandma! đŸ€—) 😍Eli and I baked these this week on a particularly cold afternoon. They were the perfect treat!”

Chicken tortilla soup

“Chicken tortilla soup! I found this recipe right after college when I quit my waitress job at Claim Jumper,” Janssen wrote. “I did NOT miss smelling like biscuits and gravy 24/7, but I did miss this soup! This is a really good remake of it. It’s delicious and filling and creamy with the perfect amount of heat, all at the same time!”

Cold miso noodles with vegetable and sesame, Raphael Stroud, producer

Guess everyone is on a health kick this week. Stroud took this tasty-looking but calorie-friendly meal to work, where he apparently managed to handle chopsticks and answer phone calls at the same time.
