Their latest round features everyone's favorite crime-solving canine Scooby-Doo from his latest movie, SCOOB!
We adore taking these packages of cookies and baking them with our kids. Pillsbury comes out with different cookies each and every season. You know the ones that we are talking about. Ghosts, Christmas trees, Santa, and so much more. Their latest iteration with Scooby-Doo from his latest movie is one delicious take on their sugar cookie.
Sure, Scooby-Doo has been around forever, but these cookies are in honor of the Great Dane's 2020 movie release, SCOOB! But, the best part about these cookies? Pillsbury changed up their formula so that you can eat their cookie dough before baking them.
Essentially, you can eat them raw, with zero risk of contracting salmonella, thanks to their changed formula. Instagram user @junkfoodinthetrunk3 caught a glimpse of these tasty cookies at their local Target. Chances are that we used to pop in an unbaked cookie or two anyway, but we're not telling anyone!
Since they found these in their local Target and they are based in Maryland, chances are that if you haven't seen them, you will soon be seeing these on our grocery store shelves in the refrigerated or frozen section. The movie itself just premiered in July, so Pillsbury was pretty quick on the ball with these tasty treats. Keep checking your grocery stores and you might find them!
The wonderful thing about these take-and-bake cookies is that you can totally stock up on these and keep them in the freezer if you want. That way when you feel like cookies but don't feel like grabbing the Kitchen-Aid and making them from scratch, you can grab them from the freezer and pop them right in the oven.
These would make a tasty and satisfying snack during a movie, say, about a certain dog and his crime-fighting friends. So when you see them, grab a pack or two and bake them in during the previews. By the time the movie is ready, you will have a fresh-baked batch of delicious sugar cookies. Triple points if you chow down on them in your own version of The Mystery Machine!
