A man is facing a trio of drug charges after Mobile police seized marijuana and edibles packaged to resemble real cookies and candy, the department announced Thursday.
Along with guns, bulletproof vests and thousands of rounds of ammunition, Mobile police seized marijuana and THC and CBD edibles as well as THC cartridges while executive a search warrant Wednesday.
The drugs were packaged under names like “Trips Ahoy” and “Medicated Jolly Rancher Gummies.” Others looked nearly identical to a gummy worm brand.
Dominic C. Davis was placed into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance, first-degree marijuana possession and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police urged parents to carefully inspect their children’s cookie and candy products in light of the bust.
