A group of nurses and first responders in Tarrant County have a pantry full of Girl Scout cookies thanks to the Cookies for Heroes program.
The Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains, which is based in Fort Worth, provided the 500 boxes of cookies.
Katherine Curtis of the Girl Scouts told NBC DFW, "Tarrant County Commissioners Devan Allen and Roy Brooks, Tarrant County District Attorney Sharon Wilson, and members of the Fort Worth Rotary Club all helped girls reach their goals by buying out the girls' cookie booths."
Unfortunately, the 2021 Girl Scouts cookie season is over, but like ever season, these girls definitely received valuable lessons about "goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics."
