(LEX 18) — Shortcut Sugar Cookies:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 stick (1/2 C) salted butter
- 1 egg
1) Preheat oven to 350°
2) Mix ingredients together until cohesive dough forms (may be crumbly at first: keep mixing!)
3) FOR SHAPES: Roll out dough (approx 1/4”-1/2”thick) onto floured surface or between 2 sheets of wax paper, then cut desired shapes. (for simple drop cookies, scoop dough with a Tablespoon, hand-roll each & drop onto cookie sheet)
4) Bake 8-10 minutes, remove with spatula; place on paper towel to cool
