Though it's going to be tempting to full-on submerge ourselves into all things fall on September 1, if you try to wear your favorite sweater while burning a pumpkin candle and making stew, well, that's a one-way ticket to heat exhaustion. Luckily there are some ways to get your fav fall flavors in while keeping cool, such as these amazing pumpkin treats from Dairy Queen.
The angels at DQ announced two fall treats that will have you hoping time will pass just a little bit more quickly. First up is a brand new treat called the Pumpkin Cookie Butter Shake. This shake combines cookie butter made from ground cinnamon spice cookies, pumpkin, vanilla soft serve and milk for the ultimate cozy yet chilly treat. It's topped with whipped cream and nutmeg too, FYI!
That might be the only DQ treat I've seen that might unseat the Blizzard as my go-to order, but in case you're not ready to change your ways, you should also know that the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard is coming back this year! This treat is made with real pumpkin pie pieces and vanilla soft serve, crowned with whipped topping and a touch of nutmeg, of course.
Both of these will be available starting August 31, so I would recommend that you mark that very important date down on your calendar now. Maybe it won't be sweater weather quite yet, but at least you can crank up the AC, eat your ice cream, and pretend.
