Chef-baked cookies, a Christmastime tradition at Piccolo Mondo, have been added to the eatery’s daily roster.
For fans of Piccolo Mondo, it may feel a bit like Christmas in July at the Via Mizner takeout-and-delivery hot spot.
Chef-baked cookies, a Christmastime tradition at Piccolo Mondo, were added earlier this month to the daily roster at the window-service eatery located behind Renato’s.
The cookies currently offered are different than the gratis red- and green-hued holiday-themed treats of December.
Instead, they’re white chocolate-chip and semisweet chocolate-chip cookies. They debuted for sale on July 9 at Piccolo Mondo, 87 Via Mizner (piccolopb.com), and are priced at $2.50 for a package of three cookies.

"Already, so many people say they love them," said general manager Ale Mencias, who frequently can be seen smiling and greeting customers during lunch hours at the takeout window.
Other cookie varieties may be added in the coming days, but either way, all cookies at Piccolo Mondo — whether the annual gratis holiday-themed treats or the current chocolate-chip varieties — share an indispensable common thread: Veselinka "Vesna" Capric.
She’s head pastry chef of Piccolo Mondo, as well as its Palm Beach sisters Renato’s, Acqua Cafe, Pizza al Fresco, Al Fresco and Piccolo Gelato.

Capric’s white chocolate-chip cookies and semisweet chocolate-chip cookies at Piccolo Mondo are offered for both takeout and delivery.
"They are tempting and everyone is saying really good things about them," said Mencias.
